HOW TO ACCESS TREATMENT

If you would like to have embolisation please ask your GP or gynaecologist to refer you to an interventional radiologist who performs these procedures.  There are currently approximately 37 hospitals in the UK performing this procedure. We can advise you of the centres doing embolisation, if they do not know.

Alan Milburn the Health Minister has talked about the importance of 'enabling patients to become informed about their treatment and care and to make informed decisions and choices about it if they wish'. ^[31] 

The NHS Plan emphasises 'Patient Choice'.
